When you subscribe to Zola Letters, we collect the Email address, optional name, subscription confirmation status, and anti-abuse signals such as IP address, browser language, submission time, and coarse Geo IP location. If you subscribe with Google login, we receive the basic Email, name, and Email verification status provided by Google.

How We Use Data

This data is used only to send Zola Letters, deliver confirmation emails, manage subscription status, process unsubscribes, prevent abusive submissions of other people's Email addresses, keep a limited anti-abuse review list for IPs that submit unconfirmed Email addresses, and keep the service safe and reliable.

Email and Third-Party Services

This site may use Google OAuth to verify subscriber Email addresses and Amazon SES to send confirmation emails and newsletter content. These services may process necessary transmission data under their own policies.

Retention and Unsubscribe

We keep your subscription data until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Each email will try to include an unsubscribe option; you may also contact us directly to request access, correction, or deletion.
